Direitos e garantias dos refugiados e migrantes no Brasil: a crise migratória de venezuelanos no estado de Roraima

Abstract

This paper discusses the need to deepen the rights of refugees and migrants in the international sphere and in Brazilian legislation, entering into the differentiation of the concept of Refugee and Migrant and the historical evolution of the consolidation of their rights in the international sphere and in national laws. The current Brazilian legislation is innovative and deserves recognition. On the other hand, Law nº 9474/1997 stands out, broadening the concept of refugee of the 1951 Convention, recognizing the family tie. Also, Law No. 13,445/2017, the Migration Law, which brings more legal certainty for migrants in the face of the situation of vulnerability. It also aims to explain about the migratory crisis of Venezuelans in the state of Roraima. In this context, it´s intended to address the scenario experienced by migrants who are received with a shortage of work; moreover, about the measures that have been taken by the state with the creation of public policies and the plan to integrate migrants into the labor market.
