Abstract

The beauty standards present in the social networks mean that the demand for esthetic Dentistry is constantly growing, as the influenced population by this fact wants to be framed in the ''perfect smile'', model imposed by that one. The diastema is defined by the presence of an interdental space between two or more teeth. Thus,the objective of the present study is a clinical case patient who had bilateral dental agenesis of upper incisors lateral. A female patient nineteen-year-old,without systemic changes,sought care at the dental clinic of Unicesumar, complaining about ''large gap spaces between teeth'' . Thus, after perfoming the previous exams and planning the casa,some treatment optionswere presented orthodontic treaatment and subsequent installation of implants in the region of upper lateral incisors, or closing the diastemas with composite resin and dental resuscitation, transforming the canines into lateral incisors, and the first premolars in canines, this option being quick satisfactory and excellent cost-benefit result. It is worth remembering that, as a young patient if she later considers the first option indicated, treatment with composite resin is conservative and can be reversible.
