Abstract

Faced with the great scientific development, it was made possible the genetic manipulation, raising ethical discussions that involve the subject. Therefore, controversial points arise, such as the possibility of aesthetic alteration or whether these practices can include the lowest social class of society and the ethics involved in these cases. Furthermore, the phenomenon of Eugenics and Neo-Eugenics appears, which carry ideas confronting the thinking of the international community in the face of the entire historical context. In this sense, it is substantial that all these debates are analyzed from a bioethical perspective, so that the moral issues surrounding the subject are examined in an interdisciplinary way, elevating the study scientifically and systematically.
