Abstract:
This article has brought as main discussion a current event that is still
experienced worldwide, the state of public calamity caused by the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov2), also known as COVID-19, which brought enormous negative impacts in all areas, the most
affected being the health area and the economic area. Because it is an extremely recent theme
and still happening in Brazil, it is impossible to accurately measure all the impacts that will
occur at the end of the pandemic, thus, using the bibliographic-deductive method, that is,bibliographic research, periodical publications, articles and especially reports, we will answer
some questions, which are, if personality rights, inherent to all human beings have they been
respected in the determinations and restrictions adopted by the Government in the light of
COVID-19? What are the prerogatives of the Brazilian Government with the decree of the State
of Public Calamity resulting from COVID-19? And how have measures to restrict the
movement and closure of trade influenced the economy, tax law and labor rights? These are the
main issues discussed in this article.
