Estudo da importância da sustentabilidade em construções civís baseado na Certificação LEED: aplicação prática em edificação certificada e avalição da implementação da certificação em construtoras de Maringá - PR

Abstract

Nowadays, the issue sustainability is increasingly emphasized in any sector of the global economy, the construction industry is no different. This work has as main objective to improve the understanding of North American environmental certification "Leadership in Energy and Environmetal Design" - LEED - together with their applicability in the context of Brazilian enterprises, in order to understand which sustainable knowledge applied to works of construction companies most influential of the Maringa-PR region. To this end, four specific objectives were set: 1) understand the implementation methodology of the American certification in Brazilian buildings; 2) conduct a technical visit in a company certified in the region of Maringa-PR in order to understand the motives that led her to seek certification and what were its main obstacle in this quest; 3) applying a questionnaire prepared by the author, based in the major segments of the "checklist" of LEED certification, the most influential construction of Maringa-PR region, according to the SINDUSCON-NOR premium; 4) measure what level of knowledge about sustainability of construction of Maringa-PR. Starting from a detailed literature review, comparative analyzes were performed based on studies conducted in the area and based on the principles of LEED certification, followed by a technical visit in a building already certified and interviews with the most influential construction of Maringa-PR. After analyzing the results it was possible to realize the benefits of sustainable construction and LEED certified building and in which way the construction of Maringa-PR are walking toward sustainability in construction.
