Centro para refugiados e imigrantes: o ambiente arquitetônico como instrumento de integração e diálogo

Abstract

The main goal of this paper is to amplify the knowledge and debate about the refugee crisis, and the importance of immigrant integration in the social context of the cities. Throughout specialized bibliography and interviews with local institutions, it was known that the parameters that challenges them the most are housing, work and communications. Faced with the problematic and based on the pyramid of basic needs developed by Abraham Maslow. The paper proposes a place that allows assistance in the areas of greater difficulty, as well as a space that promotes awareness and protection of social and cultural identity of the foreigners.
