Lei 13.718: a nova proteção nos crimes de pornografia de vingança

Abstract

The present paper will provide, through the deductive method, an introduction concerning the technological innovations and their consequential impacts - positive or negative - on the earth. These novelties were introduced by the advance of the internet and brought a lot of progress, but also setbacks: the revenge porn, for example. The concept of revenge porn revolves around the act of sending intimate photos, sex videos or audios that expose the victim on the internet. The damage of this act is irreversible, once it spoils the individual's privacy. Also, the great danger regarding this crime is the velocity in which the harmful data can be shared on the internet. The promulgation of the 13.718/2018 law aroused the consciousness of the society, promoting, consequently, better means of protection to the victim, together with the possible decrement of crimes from this scope.
